Burghley House was built by William Cecil and has all the hallmarks of that obstentatious period. that vast house is three storeys high and the roof is a riot of pinnacles, cupolas and paired chimneys in classic Tudor style. However, the interior was restyled in the 17th century, and the state rooms are now baroque, with silver fireplaces, elaborate plasterwork and painted ceilings. These were painted by Antonio Verrio, Whose Heaven ERoom is quite awe-inspiring.
Blenheim Palace is the home of the 11th Duke of Marlborough and birth place of sir Winston Churchill. Blenheim Palace is an English barowue masterpiece. Fine furniture, Sculpture, paintings and tapestries are set in magnificent gilded stateroom that over look sweeping lawns and formal gardens 'capability brown landscape the 2100 acre-grounds, which are open to visitors for pleasant walks and beautiful views.

Hatfield House was built by Robert cecil in 1611. The 42 acres of gardens include formal, knot, scented and wilderness areas, and reflect their Jacobean History. Includes the National collection of model soldiers and childrens play area. the old tudor place, close by the house, is the childhood home of Elizabeth I and was where she held her first council of state when she became Queen in 1558.
