TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE

1) PRICES & ACCEPTANCE

The cost of your journey has been calculated from details given at the time of booking.  This may be subject to amendment, should in the companies opinion, any details change from those provided at that time.  Further costs may be charged if the agreed mileage and/or the duration of the hire is exceeded.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HIRER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT OF COACH/CAR PARKING FEES ON THE DAY.

2) CARRYING CAPACITY

The coach(es) may not carry more passengers than the number of passenger seats on the vehicle.  All persons travelling must have their own seat.  The courier seat next to the driver is for staff use only and must not be used by the hirer or any other person in their party.  It is now against the law for babies and toddlers to sit on any person’s lap.  Babies and toddlers must have their own baby/boosters seats. These are to be provided by yourselves on the day of travel.

3) SEAT BELTS

All our coaches are fitted with regulation Seat Belts and must be worn throughout the duration of your journey.  Failure to do so will be at the individuals’ own risk.  With regards to the baby/toddlers booster seat, these must be secured with one of the  belts provided.

4) LUGGAGE/PERSONAL EFFECTS ETC

Southgate & Finchley Coaches Ltd. shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to luggage, or personal property.

5) LOST PROPERTY

In the event of property being left on the vehicle, you should contact during office hours, as soon as possible and we will endeavour to locate it.  Items must be claimed within three months.

6) DAMAGE

The hirer will be responsible to Southgate & Finchley Coaches Ltd. for any damage caused to the coach(es) fittings or equipment, by reason of negligence, or misconduct of any passenger thereon.

7) TERMS OF PAYMENT

A  20% deposit is required when confirming the booking and the balance in any event, should be paid, seven (7) days prior to travel.

8) CANCELLATION FEE CHARGES

CANCELLATION FEES FOR A CONFIRMED BOOKING APPLY IMMEDIATELY.

CANCELLATION FEES STILL APPLY IF YOUR BOOKING IS CANCELLED BY YOURSELF, OR YOUR VENUE, DUE TO COVID-19

From day of confirmation up until 29 days before the date of hire:              20% cancellation fee.

From 28 days or less before the date of hire:                                                   50% cancellation fee.

From 7 days or less before the date of hire:                                                     75% cancellation fee.

Cancellation request on the date of hire:                                                          100% cancellation fee.

9) TYPE OF GROUP BOOKING

Southgate & Finchley Coaches Ltd will not carry boozy parties for Stag/Hen nights etc.  If this is not mentioned at the time of booking, it may result in passengers being left at the pick up point, or at their destination.  NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED

10) CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL

The Passenger Carrying Vehicle regulations states that no alcohol will be consumed on the vehicle at any time.  Anyone caught doing so, is liable to be turned off the vehicle and may be prosecuted.

11) INSURANCE

All persons will only be covered by insurance for accidental injury whilst travelling on our coach(es). No responsibility will be taken by the company for any injury received maliciously, or when away from vehicle.
